- BISCUIT INGREDIENTS
- 150g butter
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup plain flour
- 2 & 1/2 cups cornflakes *crush after measuring 75g
- ICING INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tsp butter
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon boiling water
- Optional 1/2 a walnut per biscuit
- Preheat oven to 180C
- Cream 150g butter and 3/4 cup sugar
- Add egg to the butter and sugar
- Stir in cocoa and plain flour
- Measure 2 cups of cornflakes then crush and add to the mix.
- Measure teaspoon sized lumps of mixture onto a baking tray.
- Bake for 12 minutes. They will be fragile while still warm, they set after they have been baked.
- Leave the biscuits to cool.
- Make the icing by stirring the butter in well with the dry ingredients then adding the boiling water and vanilla.
- Put a small lump of icing on the top of the biscuit, you can add a walnut too.
*Note- The photo is of a double batch. I tried to make the biscuits as small as possible to have so many.
